Eleven Teams gathered on a beautiful Spring day to begin the 2009 Rappahannok River Bass Series. The River was scenic as always and the the Bass were chewing!!! Let's recap the day as the season began on The "Rapp"

First of all, a very special Thank you to Rappahannock River Angler and owner of C & C Landscaping, Lee Carter, for his extremely generous $1,000 sponsorship of the 2009 season. C & C Landscaping will award the following awards to the 2009 Rappahannock River Bass Series: $500 to the Regular Season Champion based on total weight. $250 to the Second Place Regular Season Team and $250 for the Regular Season Lunker!!!. Thank you again, Lee.  

Congratulations to Justin Cecil and Dustin Crisp for their victory. Justin and Dustin posted a beautiful five Bass limit that weighed a whopping 19.17 pounds!! Justin and Dustin were very gracious in victory as they accepted the handshakes and conratulatory compliments from the close knit group of anglers. Justin and Dustin won $755.00 for their great effort. Way to go, guys!!

Allan Chenault and Earl Cooper ( Sponsored by Team Chenault ) finished second with a nice five Bass limit weighing 16.38 pounds. The defending Regular Season Champions are off to a good start in defense of their Regular Season Title. Allan and Earl won $400.00 for their fine effort!! Nice job, guys!!!

John Doyle had the Lunker of the day, a very nice 4.90 Bass that was worth $110.00. Great job on the big one, John!!!
