Potomac River - June 3, 2007 Results

A blustery and rainy day was the setting as 42 teams competed in event number four of the Potomac River Bass Series. These savvy river anglers are among the best in the area and have been catching beautiful stringers throughout the spring season. As we enter the post - spawn period, the Potomac River again demonstrated why it is truly an amazing fishery. Before the winds really increased anglers capitalized on the prime early morning fishing conditions and reported catching most of their fish before ten o ' clock. Great job to all the teams as the race for the " Springfield Toyota Team of The Year " really heats up.
 
Congratulations to Mike Hoskings and David Williams for their exciting and close victory with a beautiful 19.91 pound 5 fish limit that was worth a nice $1,625.00 payday. Mike and David are a veteran team that always seem to figure them out.  We wish Mike and David luck the rest of the season as they fished their initial event with us this year on the river. Great job guys !!

Gene Hord and Mac Mcmanus held the lead for most of the weigh- in and finished a close second with a 5 fish limit that weighed an impressive 19.29 pounds. Mac and Gene won $880.00 for their effort and are in great shape for the Team of the Year honors. Finishing third were Mickey Pettry and James Donagan with 5 fish weighing 18.76 pounds and was worth a nice $525.00 payday. Peter Yanni and Chris Peterson finished fourth and had the lunker of the day for a combined $820.00 payday. Peter and Chris had a 5 fish limit weighing 18.69 pounds and a beautiful 6.16 pound bass to anchor that nice bag of fish. The ever consistent duo of Willie Gordon and Mike Branham finished fifth with 5 fish weighing 18.46 pounds and they took home $310.00 for their efforts.

Special thanks to all the great anglers and the way they compete fairly and honestly as we enter the summer portion of the schedule. It is truly a pleasure to work with such a first class group of anglers and their friends and families.
